Wandering Womb

Womb Anatomy 101

A tilted uterus may result into many female reproductive disharmony’s. Women are often told, “you have a tilted uterus, there is nothing that can be done,” or it’s normal don’t worry about it.”

The severity of symptoms depends on each women individually. Conventional medical treatment options may include the birth control pill, muscle relaxants, or surgery.

External Abdominal Therapies like womb massage, will address many female reproductive health complaints. Utilizing these techniques with natural medicine, the wondering or “tilted” womb can be assisted into its optimal position.

Womb Physiology 101

Normally the uterus leans slightly over the bladder in the center of the pelvis, about one and a half inches above the pubic bone. It is held in this position by muscles, the vaginal wall and ligaments that attach it to the back, front, and sides of the pelvis.

Uterine ligaments are made to stretch to accommodate a growing fetus inside and to move freely when the bladder or bowel is full. The ligaments and muscles can weaken and loosen, causing the uterus to fall downward, forward, backward or to either side.

Just a few extra ounces sitting on blood and lymph vessels can cause havoc throughout the different systems in the body. A shift in position of the uterus causes pressure on the blood vessels, lymphatic vessels and nerves that feed the uterus, uterine tubes and ovaries.

The uterus can also put pressure on the other pelvic organs such as the bladder, rectum or ovaries, all of which leads to congestion and an acidic environment in the pelvis.

Bring Your Womb Into Center

Womb Healing and Acupuncture plays an important role in strengthening and toning the uterine ligaments. It is like exercising a muscle.

When you practice womb massage you are nourishing the blood flow to the ligaments, which in turn support the uterus to be in optimal center position.

Your ovaries, and uterine tubes also glean the benefits of this healthy flow of nutrients, as they have their very own blood supply! As more nutrient, rich blood is circulated to the pelvis, congestion clears, and health is reclaimed.

I am in great discomfort. GP couldn’t find my cervix to do a pap smear, said my uterus has flipped backwards. I’m also experiencing IB syndrome & my coxics bone is causing pain when I sit. I have referral to Gynaecologist on 20th this month. Do u have any gentle exercise/massage strategy I can do in the meantime because I am in more pain with every new day.
